A new job! A new job!
A lot has happened since that day in April 2008, where a bunch of innovative healthcare twitterazi met up in the former vk.nl building in Amsterdam at the Health2.0 Unconference. That day firestarted my ambition to accelerate health care innovation and to build an ecosystem where mobile and social tools could dwell that empower patients, peers and physicians in increasing quality of life. Wow.
And a lot has happened since then: the introduction of the Layar app in 2009 meant the creation of the world’s first cloud based medical location service. It formed the basis of HealthCloud, now Open Health Hub. After that I got to develop a mHealth strategy and developed a number of free mobile health apps.
But I noticed I wanted more. And faster. Maybe a bit too much and too fast for a health insurance company… Then Springer Media (Dutch | English) came along. They saw the future getting nearer and neared and they have the ambition to remain the number one medical publisher and want to use the emerging channels as well to optimally serve their customers (doctors as well as consumers). They offered me the opportunity to realize my own ambitions, as well as their own.
So I am happy and excited to inform you, that I have accepted their offer and will start on March 1st as eBusiness Developer at Springer Media. :-)
Stirring up the vortex of mobile health, churning the maelstrom.
Thanks y’all for the pleasure you gave me to perform my job at Univé/VGZ. Keep in touch, my mission remains intact. See you soon, IRL or via LinkedIn! :-)
